Visit from Minister of State Chrysoula Zacharopoulou

On Wednesday 23 August, Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, Minister of State for Development, Francophonie and International Partnership attached to the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, visited the long-standing Eliots site with Senator François Bonneau, Prefect for the Charente department Martine Clavel and Subprefect Nathalie Clarenc.

Discussions focused on the environmental commitments of JOUBERT Plywood and the sustainable management of forests in France and Gabon, on the reuse of more than 95% of timber not used in the manufacture of plywood, and on the decarbonisation of energy with the creation of a photovoltaic panel park.
The Group’s president Thierry Joubert was presented with the Honour medal of Foreign Affairs by Chrysoula Zacharopoulou for these commitments.
